I like the idea of a remix album - Tortoise did one, Mogwai did one, Earth did one, and they’re obviously a part of dance and dance-adjacent music as well. Given how well I felt Everything Aligned worked as a whole album, I thought it would be fun and interesting to get some remixes done, one of each track, and bundle it together as a companion piece, a kind of alternate-reality version of what I’d done on my own with the original.

I think everyone really kept their contributions above the bar, as Goodiepal would say, and the end result functions well as an album in its own right. There are lots of different styles and approaches on offer here, some more similar to the original, some wildly different.

The cover art was once again drawn by Raphael Arar, while the album was mastered by Sam Jones in Los Angeles, California.
