The first track here, Witness, was originally made for either Closure, Silver or Weight - I’m unsure which. When compiling those albums, however, it felt out of place, quite possibly because it’s just so much longer than the rest of the stuff I made around that time. Eventually, once I’d made the more aggressive b-side, Observer, I felt that the two made an interesting pair, and lo, it was good.
