Over the last couple of years, the original 2007 version of A Game With Shifting Mirrors has become one of my favourites from the pile of music I’ve amassed, so I decided to revisit it, 15 years later. This time I did two takes, one hard panned to the right, the other hard panned to the left. The second take was improvised along to the first, and both were played on my 1982 Yamaha SG.
This is the kind of thing I can listen to forever, so although it may be, materially-speaking, dead simple, immaterially-speaking, it’s why I bother with any of this stuff at all.
