This was made at my dad’s kitchen table in Pankow, East Berlin, over two mornings. The Panke is the little river that runs through Pankow, captured in the image on the cover.

If I were Irish, visiting my dad in Dublin, I might take out my mandola and play a tune for the Liffey - though I do bear an Irish first name, I’m German, so instead, I take out my filterbank and make dub techno for the Panke. It’s this or schlager, and I think we can all agree I made the right call.
